Purposeful Consulting for People, Brands & Communities.

With a rich background in retail, event and lifestyle planning, I help purpose-driven individuals and organizations to create experiences that spark connection, elevate their message, and lead to lasting impact.

About Kerry

As the founder, and former owner of The Boutique Lounge, a retail shop, I earned my “Masters” in merchandising, storytelling, interior design and product curating.  I also handled all customer and employee engagement and financial planning.

In service to my community, I have taken on several leadership roles. I am dedicated to community-driven initiatives by way of hosting and attending numerous events aimed at raising awareness. As a board member of The Women's Endowment Foundation I acted as their event planner and host to their first silent auction. Additionally, I held a seat on the event planning committees for The Rivkin Center and Stolen Youth.

Whether I'm advising a nonprofit, producing an event, curating a brand, or helping a client bring order and beauty into their home life, I approach each project with clarity, creativity, and compassion.

Retail Entrepreneurship

A dream fueled by a passion for collecting beautiful and functional wearables and keepsakes, The Boutique Lounge, came to life at my home in 2018 and moved to a brick and mortar May 2019. My six-year venture, based in Mercer Island, WA, filled a market niche.

As a solo entrepreneur, I handled every aspect—from selecting flooring and white wood hangers to product procurement, financial planning, hiring and training staff, and building strong customer relationships.

Not for Profit

My introduction to the nonprofit world began in college through an internship with Northwest Folklife, working alongside the development director. That experience taught me that fundraising is not intimidating, but rather a vital way to help create a positive impact in the world.

Northwest Folklife taught me that our innate passions and skills should always be embraced and a driving life force. I never stopped reaching out and up. Leveraging my brick and mortar, The Boutique Lounge played host to charity events and promoted local talent who needed a space to shine. Today, I am a volunteer with Seattle Humane, I run my son's high school tennis program and I am consulting Vision Music Live, promoting their event spaces.

An Eye for Detail

I worked as a corporate event planner for McGettigan Meetings Plus (no longer in business). I organized and executed corporate events across the country. Later down the road, I planned weddings and charitable functions.

Event planning led me to explore photography. I had been told that I had a good eye for detail and composition. From there, my creative instincts expanded into wardrobe styling and interior design. All of the above made diving into the retail space that much easier and fun!
